Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a continuous ultra-fine multifilament yarn of high quality free from breakage, fluffing, and cohesion, by melt spinning a polyamide through a spinneret at a cooling air flow rate, atmospheric temperature, output, and take-off speed satisfying specific conditions.
CONSTITUTION: A polyamide melt is spun through the spinnert 1 with a number of orifices 12 having a diameter ≤0.20mm annularly arranged satisfying a K value of 0W0.25 in the formula I (D1 and D2 are the minimum and the maximum diameter of the circles) at an output (Q) per orific ≥0.15g/min into an atmosphere satisfying the formulas II, III, and IV, and taken off at a speed (L) ≥18×103×Q.
