Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for a wrapping paper for a reeled sheet and to improve a working efficiency, by forming a covering layer of the reeled sheet, while the sheet is wound in a roll, such that adhesives are applied on the sheet just before a winding is complete and several sheets of papers in the furthest out layer are adhered together as it is wound in a roll.
CONSTITUTION: A sheet 2 is wound around a winding roll 4. When a sheet winding volume reaches a given value, a winding speed is reduced just before a winding is complete, a frame 11 being moved forward resulting from the forth movement of a piston 18 of a cylinder 14. A top of a roll 6 is then brought in contact with the back of the sheet 2, said contact resulting in the rotation of the roll 6. This causes a calling roll 8 to be rotated through the medium of gears 12 and 13, a paste in a paste tank 9 being applied on the back of the sheet 2 through the working of the roll 6. Assuming that a paste coating length is, say, 18m, an outer shell being equal to, say, approximately 5W6 sheets will be formed on the furthest out layer of the sheet 2 wound around the winding roll 4. This can thus serve as a covering layer of a web 1.
