Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain hot water at a high efficiency with a proper water seal by means of a heat collenting tube formed with a synthetic resin fixed on the tube wall made of a foaming metal material.
CONSTITUTION: Heat collecting tubes 1 have a wall 2 made of a foaming metal material and a synthetic resin is fixed on the wall 2 to close a communicating hole 3 thereon. The proper water seal thus obtained prevents water from leaking through the wall when the tube is fed with water. One end of the plural heat collecting tubes are connected to a hot water extraction tube 3 while the other end thereof to a feed tube 4. The tube 1 is housed in a hot chamber 7 having the top opening of the case 5 sealed with a transparent plate 6. With such an arrangement, the amount of heat collected per fixed amount of water increases in proportion to the heat collecting area which gains due to voids resulting from the foaming of the tube 1, thereby facilitating the production of hot water. The use of the foaming metal material can reduce the weight.
