Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the bottom plate of a tank from sinking by forming a cavity at the outer periphery of the bottom plate of the tank when moving sand mat sand under pressure underneath the bottom plate of the tank by means of tank carrying load and sinking under pressure the ground underneath the central portion of the bottom plate of the tank.
CONSTITUTION: A tank 6 is constructed on a sand mat 4, and when it is inclined, sand is removed from the higher sand mat 4 to thereby form a cavity 9 at the outer periphery of the bottom plate 61 of the tank 6. Then water is filled in the sand mat 4 to saturate it with water to thereby cause the sand of the sand mat 4 underneath the bottom plate 61 of the tank 6 to be sunk by means of the load for carrying the tank 6 to thereby bury the cavity 9 so as to correct the inclined tank 6. At that time the ground 1 underneath the central portion of the bottom plate 61 is sunk under pressure as designated by a broken line 11. As a result, preceding load is applied to the ground at that part to thereby prevent the bottom plate 61 from sinking to be occurred in future.
