Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the number of the driving circuit while simplifying the wiring by means of two pressurizing means provided in one pressure chamber of a recording head unit. CONSTITUTION:The base body 1 which is made cyrindrical is closed airtight on the open faces of both ends thereof with flexible plates 2 and 2' each having an electric conductivity, that is, two flexible plates form a single pressure chamber. Furthermore, piezo-electric elements 3 and 3' are bonded on the surface of the flexible plates 2 and 2' with an adhesive having an electric conductivity while lead wires L1, L1', L2 and L2' are connected to the plates 2 and 2' to apply the drive pulse. The pressure chamber is filled with an ink 1 through a pipe 4. The drive waveform FA of the first piezo-electric element 3 and the drive waveform VB of the second piezo-electric element 3' combine to generate ink drops at the time t3.
