Abstract

PURPOSE: To separate and remove excessive hydroxide without losing metal particles by circulating the composite plating solution suspended with eutectoid metal particles to a centrifugal separator and suspension concentration control tank.
CONSTITUTION: The composite plating solution such as electrolytic zinc plating bath 2 which is suspended with Al powder and causes eutectoid of Zn/Al is extracted to the centrifugal separator 3 connected to the bath cell 1 whereby its sediments are separated. If at this time the rotating speed is controlled, metal particles and the excessive precipitation being thier hydroxide may be fractionated to two layers and therefore the metal particles are recovered and are sent together with the supernatant to a suspension concentration control tank 4, where the concentration of the plating bath is controlled, and after which the solution is returned into the bath cell by way of a pump 5. This enables the viscosity increase in the plating bath to be prevented and the electrodeposition layer components of the plated body 8 to be made even.
