Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the clarified water effectively by a simple operation through a mechanism wherein a rotating filter cylinder is provided within an apparatus and a backwash system is provided to miniaturize.
CONSTITUTION: A sewage is introduced into a stirring tank 31 from a sewage inflow pipe 25 and is stirred by a stirring machine 32 along with a coagulating agent introduced through a conduit 26 by a pump 30, thereafter is introduced into a sewage inflow cylinder 2. The precipitable substance released within a tank 1 is settled down to the tank bottom and accumulated to the center portion of the bottom by the rotation of a sludge collecting arm 20, thereafter is exhausted to the outside of a system by a sludge discharging pipe 23. The minute floated substance in the sewage within the tank 1 is uniformly filtered by the filter cylinder rotated by a motor 13 provided on both sides of the inflow cylinder and the filtrate is transfered to a clarified water tank 10 from a conduit 6 and a transfer pipe 11. By the indication of a water level detector 17, the clarified water is injected a injecting port 16 opened in the inner wall of a filter cylinder through a backwash water pipe 14.
