Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a fine slot at a foaming ultimate position of a foam forming mold to carry out vacuum absorption of the raw material thereby to mold a hard polyurethane foamed article in which air is not mixed in the cavity. CONSTITUTION:A hard polyurethane raw material is injected through an injection nozzle 1 connected to a high-pressure foaming machine into a mold cavity 4 made by forming molds 2 and 3 in a quantity sufficient for filling the cavity 4. A fine slot 5 is provided in the forming mold corner part adjacent to the ultimate position of foaming, and communicated with a vacuum pump 7 through a pipe 6. A heater 8 capable of being controlled to a temperature more than about 80 deg.C is provided adjacent to the fine slot, and polyurethane is heated to a high temperature to increase the reactivity to prevent the flowing-in of polyurethane into the pipe. The width of the fine slot is preferably about 0.3-0.7mm.
