Abstract

PURPOSE:To compensate amplification distortion effectively by making level adjustments and phase adjustments of extracted part of a signal inputted to an amplifier or amplifying element and then by applying this adjusted signal to the amplifier or amplifying element. CONSTITUTION:A signal arriving at input terminal 1 is linearly amplified by A-class operation amplifiers 2 and 3. This amplified signal is inputted through coupler 4 to AB-class amplifying element 7, which amplifies it to a high output level. To correct non-linear distortion of this amplifying element 7, part of the signal is extracted by coupler 4. Then, this signal is level-adjusted by variable attenuator 5 and then phase-adjusted by phase adjuster 6 before being inputted to circulator 8. Then, the level and phase-adjusted signal is applied again to the output signal of amplifying element 7 by circulator 8.
