Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a surface-protection film for sheet metal processing, which ensures the processing of metal sheet without lifting of the protection film, by applying one surface of a plastic film with an adhesive layer composed mainly of a specific acrylic copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: One surface of a plastic film having a thickness of 0.015W0.15mm, e.g. polyethylene film, polypropylene film, etc. is coated with an adhesive composed of (A) an acrylic copolymer having a glass transition temperature of -20 W+50°C and a strength of 35W300 g/mm2 at 100% elongation, and prepared by the copolymerization of 20W100 parts by weight of an alkyl acrylate and 20W70 parts of an alkyl methacrylate, and if necessary, (B) a small amount of a tackifier resin.
