Abstract

PURPOSE: To make stable the operation of tone arm, by cancelling the false signal due to coupling between the magnetic circuit for drive and that for speed detection, in the unit electronically performing the operation of tone arm.
CONSTITUTION: The horizontal drive motor 3 to drive the tone arm horizontally consists of the drive coil 16 provided with the fitting board 15 driven unifiedly with the center shaft 10 and the linear motor constituted with the magnetic circuit 17 fixed on the arm base. The speed detection section 18 consists of the speed detection coil 19 provided with the board to move unifiedly with the drive coil 16 of the horizontal drive motor 3 and the false signal detection coil 21 and also the magnetic circuit 20. The coils 19 and 21 have equal number of turns and are connected in series with inverse winding direction. Further, the detection signal obtained in the interterminal of the speed detection coil 19 and the false signal detection coil 21 is fed to the speed servo circuit to control for the speed servo of the horizontal drive motor 3.
