Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a method for driving oil cooling rotary compressors wherein the compressed air is prevented from being released from an oil separator tank into the atmosphere and still the problem of oil locking is solved by providing a magnetic valve on an oil pipe connecting the oil separator tank with the compressor proper.
CONSTITUTION: As soon as a compressor proper 1 is started to operate, an associated timer T is put into operation and a magnetic valve 10 is closed to suspend the supply of lubricating oils to the compressor 1 for a period of time as predetermined. Under the condition no oil locking occurs due to the absence of oil supply to the compressor 1. When the magnetic valve 10 is opened following the lapse of time as set by the timer T, the lubricating oil 5 moves through a piping 7, thus the compressor 1 being driven smoothly with cooling, without the occurrence of the oil locking phenomenon.
