Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a liquid face paint having improved uniform dispersibility with shaking, and adhesiveness to the skin, stable for a long time, by demulsifying an emulsion, formed through incorporation of a powder base into an aqueous emulsion of an oily substance, with an alcohol.
CONSTITUTION: A powder base is incorporated into an aqueous emulsion comprising 5W60wt% of an oily substance, 38W93wt% of water, and 1W20wt% of a surfactant. An lower aliphatic alcohol is added to demulsify the emulsion with stirring. The surfaces of the base are coated with the oily substance, and the alcohol mixes with the water. The demulsified mixture is allowed to stand to give a liquid face paint wherein the base is precipitated in the water-alcohol mixture. The paint thus obtained is uniformly dispersed with shaking even after a long storage, usable in the same concentration at any time, and has a good touch. The wet-on-wet coating is possible with the dried water-resistant film.
