Abstract

PURPOSE: Title spinning dope that contains melamine, formaldehyde and hydroxycarboxylic acid in a specific proportion, thus having high storage stability, fiber- forming property and solubility in water.
CONSTITUTION: A novel spinning dope consists of (A) a novel melamine resin condensate in which the molar ratio of formaldehyde to melamine is 0.1W1 and the molar ratio of hydroxycarboxylic acid to melamine is 0.5W10 or a mixture thereof with (B) an water-soluble polymer as carboxymethyl cellulose.
EFFECT: Dry and wet spinning can be conducted with high operation stability.
