Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the adjustment effectively operable for a picture position of color image reproduced in face plate and for an astigmatism and convergence of electron beam spot, by installing a magnet to the deflecting device of color picture tube device.
CONSTITUTION: In the periphery of a magnetic unit core 11 installed to the outer wall of a funnel 3 are provided at least a pair of adjustment magnets 12, that are so arrange as to make a uniform distribution of magnetic field in a direction perpendicular to the gun axis of an electron gun structural unit 7. The uniform distribution and the same direction of a magnetic field, generated near around the place of neck side and face plate side of a deflecting device 14 by the above adjustment magnet 12, with a change not given to the landing characteristic of electorn beam to a phosphor layer, can adjust the picture position on a fluorescent screen and the characteristic of astigmatism and convergence of an electron beam spot.
