Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve adhesion between a support material and a magnetic layer to reduce charging of the magnetic layer by providing a conductive substance layer, where polyhydroxypolyether ester resin is main components and a specific carbon black is included, between the support material and the magnetic layer.
CONSTITUTION: On a support material consisting of polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate specially, the carbon black of a surface area over 700m2/g, an oil absorption quantity over 300ml(DBP)/100g and a particle diameter below 30mμ and polyhydroxypolyether ester resin as a binder are dispersed in cyclohexane, etc., in a proportion of 5:95W30:70 in respect to the weight ratio, thereby producing a paint. This paint is applied to the support material and is dried, and a magnetic layer is formed on this paint. As a result, the surface resistance is small, and faults such as noise and drop-out can be prevented.
