PURPOSE:To record and reproduce information of sound multiple kinds simply with a VTR by using step wave pulses differnet in time of step parts as control pulses of the VTR. CONSTITUTION:Control pulses of a prescribed period from oscillator 1 become step wave pulses differnet in time of step parts according to control signals applied to terminals 3 and 4 of generator 2. These pulses are recorded on the control track of a VTR, and at a reproducing time, pulses according to the rise of step parts of step wave pulses are generated by pulse interval detector 8. On a basis of this step wave information, step wave control pulses can be used to record and reproduce simply infprmation of multiple kinds such as sound without influence on the control of the VTR.
