Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce mounting space by providing an auxiliary speed change unit having two speed change stages between an input shaft and an input counter. CONSTITUTION:The rotational force provided from an engine 1 is transmitted through a clutch unit 2 to an input shaft 4 of a speed change unit 3. The speed change unit 3 has a case, which accommodates a two-stage auxiliary speed change unit 6 of a planetary gear type and a three-forward-stage one-rearward-stage main speed change unit 17 having synchronous mesh type clutches 30 and 31. With this construction the auxiliary speed change device 6 is switched at each speed change stage of the main speed change unit 17, whereby six speed change stages can be achieved.
