CONSTITUTION: As a pair of friction plates come in touch with sliding surfaces 2 of a disc rotor 1, air passing through ventilation holes 3 cools the rotor as it is with a conventional ventilated type disc rotor. Since distortion of the rotor 1 caused by a rise in temperature is dispersed to the entire rotor 1 by fine radial grooves 6 formed every three ventilation holes 3 on both sliding surfaces 2, concentration of stress on any specified portion can be mitigated.
