Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the impact strength of polybutylene terephthalate resin without lowering the excellent characteristics of the resin such as moldability, moisture absorption, oil resistance, etc., by the use of a polybutylene terephthalate composition having specific composition. CONSTITUTION:The objective fastener is manufactured from a composition composed of (A) 100 parts by weight of polybutylene terephthalate, (B) 1-100 parts, pref. 5-80 parts of a rubber-like copolymer obtained by the copolymerization of a vinyl monomer such as butyl acrylate, (C) 0-30 parts, pref. 2-20 parts of a phosphate-type plasticizer such as triphenyl phosphate, and (D) 0-100 parts, pref. 5-80 parts of a bolck copolyetherester elastomer wherein <=60mol% of the hard segment is polyalkylene terephthalate, the soft segment is a polyoxyalkylene glycol having a molecular weight of 400-6,000, and the content of said glycol unit is 10-80wt%.
