Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the output ripple over a wide output control range and obtain stable arc in a constitution having a small number of control rectifier elements, by providing taps in each secondary winding of the hybrid bridge method furnishing bypass circuits using diodes.
CONSTITUTION: Taps TAWTC are provided in specified positins of each secondary winding 1W3 having output ends AWC of star-connected three-phase welding transformer. The output voltage between the neutral point 0 and each tap should be 0.5W0.9 with respect to full output voltage of each winding. The output ends AWC are connected to the anodes of unidirectional control rectifier elements 4W6, respectively, and the common points of the cathodes thereof become DC output positive terminals, with a diode 7 being coupled between the common points and the neutral point 0. Each tap is connected to the cathodes of diodes 8W10, and the anodes thereof become common points, and, hence, become DC output negative terminals. Thus constituting, the half-wave rectified output superposed through the diode 7 is set at the minimum required voltage, so that prevention of occurrence of voltage zero point and reduction of ripple factor may be realized.
