Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the elastic modulus by selecting the beating degree of the synthetic pulp at the specific level, thus obtaining a diaphragm for the acoustic apparatus featuring a wide-band operation. CONSTITUTION:The synthetic pulp in which the Canadian freeness and the fiber length are adjusted to 250-150ml and 1-0.1mm respectively is used for the diaphragm made of the complex comprising the synthetic pulp plus the fibers such as the inorganic fiber, the organic synthetic fiber, the natural fiber and the like. The carbon fiber or the like featuring a fixed length is compounded in a fixed rate to the synthetic pulp of such composition to produce the composite sheet and then undergoes the press molding via the metal mold after the prescribed heat treatment. Thus the diaphragm is obtained. With use of such siaphragm, the elastic modulus is enhanced along with the increased sound pressure frequency characteristics ensured over a wide band.
