Abstract

PURPOSE: To welding work tracing device being free from the fluctuation of welding current and the influence of the optical noise, by installing the circuit for detecting the position of groove through the binary coded video signal and for driving the servo system, the binary code judging circuit, and the out-of-control preventive circuit for the servo system, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The video signal for the present welding work is sent from the television camera 3, and is binary coded by the binary coding processing circuit 6, and is displayed by the display circuit 11 on the television picture 12. The position of groove is detected by the operational circuit 7 from the binary coded signal, and the servo system is driven by the driving circuit 8. The judging circuit 10 judges either the signal is binary coded or not; and the set level is kept constant, if the signal is not binary coded. When the binary coding becomes impossible, the out-of- control preventive circuit 13 actuates, according to the order of the judging circuit 10, and puts off the servo circuit 8; hereby, the binary coded signal disappears from the television picture 12, and the "trace impossible" is displayed.
