Abstract

PURPOSE:To make effective use of the antenna for artificial satellites, by enabling to set narrow emission region to one of transmission and reception waves, through the possibility of independent detemination of the power ratio shared to each emission element with the provision of the phase shifter. CONSTITUTION:The signal transmitted from the transmitter 1 is divided into two at the hybrid 3A, and the signal passing through the circulator 4T is received for the phase shift by phi in total through the reciprocation of the phase shifter 5T and it is given to the hybrid 3B. But the signal passing through the circulator 4R is not subjected to the phase shift but merely passed through 4R to the hybrid 3B. On the other hand, the reception signal inputted to the emission elements 8A and 8B externally is subjected to the pahse shift of phi' in total in the phase shifter 5R with reciprocation as to the signal passing through the circulator 4R, but not for the signal passing through the circulator 4T. Since the phase shifts of phi and phi' are caused independently of each other from the separate phase shifters 5T and 5R, independent control can be made.
