Abstract
PURPOSE:To heat continuously and efficiently a long-sized conductor such as a wire or a thin pipe by setting an electric current transformer at a linear part formed in the loop of the conductor and short circuit members at the parallel part of the loop. CONSTITUTION:Insulation guide rings 30a-30e and short circuit guide rings 40a- 40h are circularly set ans supported so that linear part 70 is formed in fixed frame 80. Loop 10b of long-sized conductor 10 becomes linear between short circuit guide rings 40d, 40e. Electric current transformer 50 is set at this position, and the linear part of loop 10b is passed through the opening of transformer 50. Since current supply start end P and current supply finish end Q are separated by this mechanism, ring 40a contacting to inlet side wire 10a and ring 40h contacting to outlet side wire 10c preferentially generate heat, and a single guide ring is prevented from generating heat excessively. By adopting water-cooling mechanisms for rings 40a, 40h, occurrence of harmful phenomena such as spark is prevented.
