Abstract

PURPOSE: An aromatic polyester-polycarbonate resin composition having improved moldability and rigidity, comprising a specific polyester-polycarbonate and a styrene resin.
CONSTITUTION: A composition comprising (A) 100 parts by wt. of an aromatic polyester-polycarbonate consisting of structural units of formula I: (X is a bifunctional group; the aromatic nuclei may have substituents), and structural units of formula II at a molar ratio of the dihydroxydiaryl residue: terephthalic acid residue: carbonate bond of 1:0.33W0.75:0.67W0.25, and (B) 1W150 parts by wt. of a styrene resin. The polyester-polycarbonate preferably has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.4W1.5, the glass transition point of 160W190°C, and 10μ equivalents/g.resin or less of terminal carboxy groups.
