Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the title composition at low cost, having excellent damping potential, by incorporating a vinyl chloride-based resin with a cured or uncured rubber melt.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100 parts by wt. of a vinyl chloride-based resin such as a vinyl chloride resin, binyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer resin, etc., with (B) 30W550 parts by wt. of a rubber melt produced by the thermal cracking of various industrial goods such as scrap fires, belts, hoses, or cured or uncured scrap rubbers from rubber plants, and, preferably (C) such ingredients as (a) a plasticizer such as dioctyl phthalate, dibutyl phthalate, and/or (b) an inorganic filler such as talc, asbestos, mica, graphite, and/or (c) an organic filler such as natural fiber, synthetic fiber, and/or (D) a flame-retardant such as a phosphoric ester, antimony trioxide. The composition of the present invention would be extremely efficient and economical from the resource conservation point of view because of the cheap raw material such as scrap tires, etc.
