Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the operation of the load device as well as ensure a wide- range setting for the load value and the load velocity by securing floating for the floater via the magnetic repulsive force caused between the supporter and the floater attached to the penetrator and then giving the load to the penetrator via the repulsive force.
CONSTITUTION: Penetrator attachment substance 5 is attached to the upper end of permanent magnet 1 which is formed into a cylindrical shape with upper and lower magnetic poles 3 and 4, thus floater A being formed. And penetrator 6 is attached on the upper surface of substance 5. With excitation of core 7 by exciting coil 8, the coincidence is obtained automatically between the center of floater A and that of supporter B via the repulsive force caused between pole 3 of A and upper magnetic pole 9 of B as well as between pole 4 of A and lower magnetic pole 10 of B. Under these conditions, floater A is pushed upward in the contactless state in response to increment of the excitation current of coil 8, and thus penetrator 6 is pressed onto test surface 11 of the sample.
