Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the expansion of the use range of the control device and the prevention of hindrances in rolling to be prevented by adding a control threshold operating unit and a control threshold judging unit to the tension control device for the material to be rolled between rolling mills.
CONSTITUTION: The signals of the thickness, width, buckling stress and sectional shapes of the material 3 to be rolled are applied from a characteristic setting unit 9 for the material to be rolled to a control threshold operating unit 10. In the unit 10, the threshold tension and threshold compressive force of the material 3 are calculated.
