CONSTITUTION: At the same time as the tip end of the just rolled material is bitten into the crown control stand F4, the signal of load cell 12 is inputted to the arithmetic circuit 13 whose output is given to the control circuit 14; hereby, the bender is changed at once to the decrease condition, and the crown control is continued according to the external signal 15. At the moment that the tail end of steel sheet passes over the stand F3 in front of the crown control stand F4, the signal of load cell 12' is inputted to the arithmetic circuit 13; and the timing of arrival of the tail end of the steel sheet at the control stand F4 is previously operated and forecast by the arithmetic circuit 13 depending on the rotational speed signal given by the rotation detector 16 and the rolling load signal produced from the load cell 12. Just before that timing, the bender 5 is changed to the increase side by the control circuit 14. According to this method, the decrease side controllability of the bender 5 can be effectively utilized.
