Abstract
PURPOSE: To attain time-axis equalization without decreasing a S/N ratio by extracting control pulses from a regeneration output with the amplitude of reference control pulses made much greater than signal amplitude and then by using them as a gate signal to extract control pulses of another channel.
CONSTITUTION: A broad-band TV signal is divided by Hadamard's transform circuit H into narrow-band channels 1, 2...(n) and signals of respective channels, after control pulses for time-axis equalization are inserted at fixed intervals of time, are recorded through heads (h) provided corresponding to tracks of magnetic tape B. Here, the pulse width of control pulses to be inserted is represented to (γ) and the insertion position should be nearly in the middle of insertion interval T of horizontal synchronizing pulses of the TV signal. Further, the amplitude of pulses P is set nearly equal to that of signal S between channels 1 and (n-1) and much gearter than the maximum amplitude of signal S as to channel (n). Consequently, error recognition due to abnormal noises, etc., is eliminated, the S/N ratio of the signal improves and an excellent picture can be obtained.
