Abstract

PURPOSE: Label printer in which one step strike switch for providing a continuous feeding of a label until stopped by a position sensor by jumping one step feeding routine is arranged, two steps printing may be made by one switch and no intermittent termination of the label fedding may be made.
CONSTITUTION: In a system in which one step of the label is fed by a predetermined size after one step printing is made on the label at its stationary position, and two steps feeding of the label up to such a position as determined by a position sensor after two steps printing at that position in order to issue the label, there is provided a one-step striking switch for making a continuous feeding of said label until its termination by said position sensor by jumping the one-step feeding routine, and when the one-step striking switch is not operated, two-steps printing is performed in accordance with the normal routine, and in turn when one-step striking switch is operated, the one-step striking routine is jumped and a continuous feeding of the label is performed until the label is sensed by the position sensor and then stopped. Thereby, a smooth feeding of the label can be performed and no errorneous operation is made when the number of steps is to be changed over.
