Abstract
PURPOSE: To surely separate transfer paper from a photosensitive drum by providing a negative pressure generator and a suction part which connects to this and is reciprocatively turnably constituted.
CONSTITUTION: Transfer paper 1 is fed by rollers 2 and is so led as to go along the surface of a photosensitive drum and makes close contact with its surface owing to its static electricity, whereby the toner on the surface is transferred by transfer electrodes 5. When the paper passes a separating electrode 6, it becomes easy to be stripped from the surface of the photosensitive drum 4. The end of the transfer paper 1 is begun to be sucked by the suction port 11 comprising spreading a metal screen at the end of its suction part 7, then the back of the transfer paper is sucked to the suction port 11. The suction part 7 is so designed as to be turnable up to the chain line position illustrated. When it adsorbs to the transfer paper 1, it is pushed by the transfer paper and moves up to the chain line position. As a result, the transfer paper 1 is spaced still more from the drum surface 4. When the suction part 7 ceases suction, the paper is sent toward a conveying belt 9. The suction part 7 which has ceased suction is returned to the solid line position by a spring.
