CONSTITUTION:A reflected wave signal is processed through an input terminal 1, a band amplifier 2, a shaping circuit 3 and a retriggerable monostable multivibrator 4. The width of pulses, which are produced by the monostable multivibrator 4, is set slightly longer than the period of a tone burst. Only a signal having a pulse width corresponding to the duration of the received wave is picked out as a received wave signal from a pulse width discrimination circuit 5.
