Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent wrong operation due to noises, by detemining the time from wave transmission to wave reception in each measurement cycle, obtaining an average time t and picking out only signals received during a period from t-t1 seconds to t+t2 seconds after the wave transmission as received wave pulses.
CONSTITUTION: A counter 14 starts counting clock pulses, by t1 seconds earlier than the wave transmission. When the outputs of an averaging circuit 12 and a counter 14 have become equal to each other, the counter 14 stops counting. The time from the generation of a wave transmission control signal to the stoppage of the clock pulses is t-t1 seconds.
