PURPOSE:To provide a waste gas treatment equipment with good cleaning efficiency, a means is given to prevent waste gas from penetrating into the dust separator. CONSTITUTION:In catalyst-filled layer 2, partitions 11, 11 are installed to face each other, at the gas inlet side 9 and gas outlet side 10. The partitions are of metal or ceramic plates and designed to have the longitudinal length nearly equal to the total length of the catalyst-filled layer 2. The partitions 11, 11 are specified to have the transverse length G ranging from about 1/2-1/4 of the thickness T of the catalyst-filled layer 2. This arrangement of the partitions 11 around the catalyst- filled layer 2 guides waste gas passing near the partitions 11 in the direction of the arrow H, thus preventing the waste gas from going into the dust separator 6.
