Abstract
PURPOSE: To control dissolved oxygen (DO) in an air exposure bath at a constant level, the air quantity to be fed to the air exposure bath is reduced to below the limit surge value when the quantity of sewage is reduced.
CONSTITUTION: The DO meter 11 provides measured DO value which is put in the adder 13 to obtain the deviation ΔDO from the target value. The ΔDO is calculated in the proportion-integrator 14 to provide the required air quantity QA to be sent to the air exposure bath 3. The air quantity QA is brought into the comparator 20 and compared with the surging limit value QAL. If the air quantity QA is greater than the limit value QAL (QA>QAL), the comparator 20 instructs the relay 21 that the proportion-integrator 14 connects the loop of the air control unit 24 and disconnects the loop of the air control unit 22.
