Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable copying paper to be turned upside down with certainty even in narrow space, by simple methods, such as control of the rotation direction of rollers and shift between rollers. CONSTITUTION:In both side copying, copying paper 17 with one side copied is conveyed through conveying rollers 23, 24 to conveying rollers 27, 28. Detector 38 provided immediately before rollers 27, 28 detects the rear end of paper 17, a reversible motor stops to stop conveying rollers 27, 28, and 31, 32 holding paper 17. Paper 17 is always given a bending moment in the clockwise direction by nipping of rollers 27, 28, so the rear end of paper 17 shifts to the second conveyance route fromed by nipping of 24 and 40. On completion of this shift, the motor reverses to rotate rollers 28, 32 right, paper 17 is conveyed through the second conveyance route along guide 39, between rollers 24 and 40, and between guides 41 and 42, and piled up with the image face upside. Detector 46 provided immediately after rollers 24, 40 detects the front end of paper 17, and separates roller 27 from roller 28 to prevent interference between the preceding paper and the following paper.
