Abstract
PURPOSE: The title small-sized, simple, economical, and easily handleable reformer having a good maintainability designed to disperse sludges or contaminants in the fuel oil without discharging them as wastes, comprising a horn whose tip is arranged in a specific position to the rotating precise filter medium.
CONSTITUTION: The rotating filter 25 containing the precise filter medium 23 fitted into the left and right side plates 32 and 28, tightly is supported in the container 26 rotatably. The space of the container 26 is divided into the inlet and outlet sides 38 and 39 by the medium 23. The transducer 1 driven by the ultrasonic wave generator 2 is threaded into the cone 3 having the half-wave resonance length, and the wedge- shaped horn 4 threaded into the bottom of the cone 3 at a half-wave length to locate the tip 5 in the chamber 38 containing the sludges of the fuel oil. The horn 4 is thus positioned to form the given gap C along the shaft of the medium 23.
