Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a composition stable for long term and easily miscible with printing ink, paint, etc. giving not only thickening properties but thixotropic properties, thereto, by mixing a compound having a carboxylic acid ester group and an ethylene bond with magnesium trisilicate hydrate.
CONSTITUTION: A compound having one or more carboxylic ester groups and ethylenic bonds in the molecule, is mixed under stirring with 0.1W50wt%, preferably 5W30wt% of magnesium trisilicate hydrate 2MgO.3SiO2.XH2O wherein the molar ratio of Mg to Si is 2:2.8W2:3.2, to make a homogeneous solution.
USE: Additive of an ultraviolet-curable printing ink, a molding compound, a base for coloring agent having low tendency of pigment precipitation and nevertheless high fluidity, and a rust removing agent.
