Abstract

PURPOSE:A composition for oral cavity that is prepared by adding a specific surfactant to polyacrylic acid, etc., thus showing good effects inhibiting teeth decay because of its activity of increasing the acid resistance of teeth. CONSTITUTION:Said composition contains polyacrylic acid or polymethacrylic acid, or their metal salt in an amount of over 0.00005wt% of the free polymer and an N-long-chain-acylglutamic acid or its salt and/or polyoxyethylene castor oil derivative and is used as a tooth paste, trochem, or gargle. The combination of the above surfactant causes synergism to increase the effect inhibiting decay. The amount of the surfactant used is preferably 0.01-5, especially 0.5-2wt%.
