Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable even flux coating to be performed over the entire part of substrate by coating the foamed flux to the substrate with a rotary brush.
CONSTITUTION: A motor 10 begins to run a fixed time before a substrate 8 passes a flux coating device for soldering. A brush fixing shaft 5 is then revolved by a gear mechanism to cause a brush 6 and receiving frame 4 to revolve. Where the brush 6 faces the substrate 8 side, the motor 10 stops running. On the other hand, at the same instant when the motor 10 starts running, the air supplied from an air supply source passes through a pipe 2 and is supplied to a foaming element 3 which in turn causes the liquid form flux in a flux liquid tank 1 to foam. The foamed flux advances in the state of having returned to liquid form flux to the end of the brush 6 owing to capillarity of the brush 6, whereby the liquid flux is coated on the substrate 8.
