Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a high frequency (RF) modulator circuit, which is used to the VTR, the video game and the like, featuring a high economical performance through the simultaneous modulation of both the video and aural signals by using the differential double balanced modulator circuit.
CONSTITUTION: Transistors (TR)1∼7 constitute a differential double balanced modulator circuit. Fixed bias VB3 and VB4 are applied to the bases of TR5 and 6 to break the balance. And the video signal is applied to the base of TR5 via terminal 13 and capacitor C1; while the aural signal is applied to the base of TR6 via terminal 14 and capacitor C2 respectively. Then the cynchronous peak amplitude and the modulation factor can be changed freely with application of appropriate bias VB3 and VB4.
