Abstract

PURPOSE: A hot-melt composition that contains a hydrogenated resin from a cyclopentadiene compound and allyl alcohol and an ethylene copolymer or a polyester resin, thus having high adhesion.
CONSTITUTION: Said composition comprises (A) 20W300parts by wt of a hydrogenated resin that is made by reaction of 100parts by wt of a compound selected from cyclopentadiene, dicyclopentadiene and their alkyl-substituted compounds with 3W10parts of allyl alcohol in the presence or absence of a solvent at 200W 300, preferably 250W280°C for 30minW10hr and has a softening point of 50W150, preferably 60W130°C, a hydroxyl value of 20W150, preferably 30W120 (millimole/ 100g resin) and a bromine value of lower than 40, (B) 20W30parts of an ethylene copolymer or polyester resin and (C) 0W500parts of wax.
