Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize the connection test for various types of trunks via a single tone receiver by transmitting the single test tone from the tested trunks in common. CONSTITUTION:Test tone D18 is connected in common to three types of trunks 12-14, for example, which supply tones A-C. In the case of the test for trunk A12, switch circuit 20 is operated to supply tone D18 to the communication line instead of original tone A, and trunk A12 is connected to tone receiver D10 via network 11 to read out the output via the scanner or the like. In such way, the connection test is carried out. For other trunks, the switching is given in the same way to tone D18 via switch circuits 21 and 22. As a result, the connection test becomes possible for vairous types of trunks with a reduced amount of the hardware.
