Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a mirror figured with vivid three-dimensional characters by screen-printing predetermined characters on one side of a transparent glass plate with an epoxy resin type colored transparent ink compsn. contg. a fluororesin surfactant and by covering the formed characters-shaped film with a reflective film.
CONSTITUTION: Predetermined characters 2 are screen-printed on one side of transparent glass plate 1 with an epoxy resin type colored transparent ink compsn. contg. a fluororesin surfactant in an amt. of 1W6% to the total amt. of the ink base and a hardener, forming colored characters-shaped film 3 contg. innumerable fine bubbles 4 on plate 1. After drying film 3 to solid, the whole surface of plate 1 including film 3 is silvered to form reflective film 5, which is further covered with protective film 6 such as copper film or synthetic resin film. Since light reflected from film 5 undergoes diffused reflection by bubbles 4, characters 2 look shine and give three-dimensional appearance.
