Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:Antibiotic moroyamycin A, B, and C. Chemical properties of moroyamycin A; crystalline white powder; the melting point: decomposes at not lower than 170°C; the molecular formula: C18H30O18N10; property: basic compound. Chemical properties of moroyamycin B; crystalline white powder; the melting point: decomposes at not lower than 169°C; the molecular formula: C26H42O16N10; property; basic compound. Chemical properties of moroyamycin C; crystalline white powder: the melting point: decomposes at not lower than 197°C; the empirical formula: C9H16O8N4; property: basic compound.
USE: Antibacterials and acaricides.
PROCESS: Novel Streptomyces No. 3525 strain (FERM-PNo.1152) and it variation strain are nurtured preferably by submerged culture to give moroyamycin A, B, and C.
