Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a thin polarizing screen excelling in humidity resistance, weather resistance, and workability, by coating the both faces of polarizing film with specified compound containing isocyanate radical, and forming coat films after curing. CONSTITUTION:A compound (A) having more than two isocyanate radicals within a molecule, such as reactant of tolylene diisocyanate and trimethylol propane, and a compound (B) having active hydrogen and polymerizable unsaturated radical being reactive with isocyanate radical, such as 2-hydroxy ethyl methacrylate, are reacted to form one-pack type paint (the content of isocyanate should be preferably 3- 10%). This paint is spread on the both faces of a polarizing film, and is cured by radiating active energy rays such as ultraviolet rays (of which wavelength should be preferably 300-450mmu). And then further heating at about 50-100 deg.C to cure completely, paint films are formed.
