Abstract

PURPOSE: To simultaneously control two quantities of air through a single damper, by bringing a flat plate part into contact with a wall located in front of the opening of one branch pipe when closing another branch pipe with a fan-shaped part.
CONSTITUTION: When the damper 2 is in a neutral state, equal quantities of cool air and warm air are supplied. When the damper 2 is swung clockwise, the flat plate part 21 is displaced leftward. As a result, the quantity of cool air X becomes larger than that of warm air Y. When the damper is swung by an angle of 20.7°, the front end of the flat plate part 21 reaches a point L. As a result, the passage of the warm air Y is completely shut off and only the cool air X flows into a main pipe 3. At the swing angle of 20.7° to 22.5°, 100% of the cool air flows into the main pipe. When the damper is swung over the angle of 22.5°, the opening HG of the right branch pipe 5 is more or less closed by the fan-shaped part 20, namely, the quantity of the supplied cool air is reduced. When the damper 2 is swung by an angle of 67.5°, the opening HG is completely shut off, namely, both the warm air and the cool air are stopped.
