Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain ENA sensitized latex for collagen-disease diagnosis, by combining a nuclear solubilized antigen (ENA) into the latex of high specific gravity.
CONSTITUTION: To the disperse solution of a phosphoric-acid solution of polystyrene-system latex of 1W1.4 (preferably 1.1W1.3) in specific gravity and 0.01W 10μ (preferably 0.1W5μ) in corpuscle diameter, ENA (or ribonuclease resistive ENA) is added and treated so as to obtain sensitized latex. The above-mentioned sensitized latex can be preserved for a long time as a freeze-dried article and used immediately only by adding a diluted solution. At the time of use for a collagen- disease diagnosis, a patient blood serum and the above-mentioned sensitized latex are made in contact each other by a micro-time method, for example, and the tube- bottom agglutinate image of the latex is observed to make a decision on the existence of the ENA antibody (or ribonuclease resistive ENA antibody).
